Know Your Rights Training
Know Your Rights (KYR) Program
At CALMA, Know Your Rights (KYR) is one of our foundational pillars, designed to educate and empower individuals with the knowledge they need to protect themselves if approached by ICE or law enforcement officers.
While we are currently not offering our own KYR workshops, we encourage you to explore the valuable resources and workshops provided by the trusted organizations listed below.
KYR at CALMA
Although we are not facilitating KYR workshops at this time, we continue to incorporate Know Your Rights education into our other programs. For example, during our Day Laborer Outreach Program (DLO), we distribute KYR cards and connect individuals with local resources, ensuring that our community stays informed and prepared.
Our commitment to abolishing ICE remains strong, and we believe that education and awareness are vital tools in achieving this goal. We are dedicated to arming individuals with the information they need to navigate and resist unjust systems.
